Evaluation Task 4

I created a logo for my graphics unit, it was called Extreme Gaming ( EG ). The idea of calling and relating my logo with Extreme Gaming came when I was trying out some of the GTA V new Mods Online. They were at extreme level, took me everything to complete them. so I though why not create a logo which relates to extreme, this gives it a serious and action related theme to the logo and can create games related to it.

The Logo looks something like this:

It is simple but it still can and is conveying the message that 'IT IS EXTREME

After that we had to choose a game type which we think, can relate with the logo, with the following types:
  • AvAlon
  • Botz
  • Master at Arms
  • Meta-Tropolis
  • Gliese 581
I chose Botz because it is related to robots, it fits with my logo because robots can easily be fit into the
 extreme gaming. There is more than one reason of me choosing Botz, such as;
  • Transformers is one of the reason I chose Botz, they have shown robots to the limit, how they react and how strong they are!
The concept of my game is that, it is between Robots v Human. Robots attack the Earth, with their full power they try to destroy the human-beings and any living creator on Earth. humans on the other side have to be tactical against the robots because of them being huge and strong. As you get into the game it gets tough and tricky to deal with, because it's an action game which requires a lot of skills and effort.

When the time came to create a Splash Art Promotional Image for the game I had ideas in my head towards it, but we had to choose from the following:
  • Promotional Banner
  • Concept Art
  • Website Wallpaper
  • Simple Animation (GIF)
  • Ezine Spread (PDF)
  • Packaging / case Design
  • Marketing Materials Promos
  • Navigation/splash buttons (e.g. Steam storefront useage)
  • Collectables  (original artwork / postcards)
I chose a Poster because it is simple, Straight forward and effective in every manner, such as; for public interest, show piece etc.

Poster for me is the best way to convey the message through and towards the audience, main thing is if your Poster doesn't stand out in the eyes of the audience, it's most likely a waste. To avoid that I had bright colours, shades, texture etc. That changed the look of the poster, not just that I had three background pictures blending into each other to make it look different for a normal battle zone, here is a normal picture of a battle zone.

It was straight forward and simple but when I combined or blended background toward it changed every look of it, it had different colours and effects, it looked something like this;

This was after i blended the backgrounds with each other, the volcano mountain was added into the picture and blended in it, to make it look as real as it could I went through different effects and applied them on to the picture

This is the final touch to my Poster when I attached army soldiers, Jet plane, robots and my Logo in the background, it completely changed the image of the Poster

The theme of the Game and poster was to make it as good as it can get, Robots Attacking the world. As it shows that a giant robot raising itself out of the Volcanic mountain to destroy the earth, as it comes out of the lava, earthquake occurred  and caused the cracks in the ground, that's what it tells in the poster.

After spending hours on the Poster, the outcome was the picture above, it was really bright and had no shades in it. Picture looks really dark and it has a really good theme of night time. I had to blend one sky into another to make it look freaky.
